House Price Index

The Jersey House Price Index measures the combined weighted average price of 1 and 2-bedroom flats and 2, 3 and 4-bedroom houses.

The principal data source for the Jersey House Price Index is the Jersey Property Bulletin, supplemented by information on type and size of property provided by the States of Jersey Housing Department.

The average (mix-adjusted) house price in Jersey was £474,000 in Quarter 1 2008.

The average price of dwellings sold in Jersey in Q1 2008 was more than a quarter (28%) higher than the average in Q1 2007.
