Optional transfer to Hautlieu at 14+
At the age of 14 years pupils who are judged to be the most academically able and likely to follow academic courses of study to AS and A2 level may transfer to Hautlieu School.

The criteria for admission to Hautlieu at 14+ are as follows:
- an average cognitive ability test score of 109 or greater;
- above average standards of performance in English, maths and at least four other subjects with science counting as two.
