Curriculum

The curriculum in Jersey closely follows the UK National Curriculum. There are some changes which take into account Jersey’s unique environment, culture and history.

Currently pupils in Jersey state schools do not sit the UK Standard Assessment Tests (SATs). Pupils in all years are assessed regularly in line with the Assessment for Learning initiative and teachers report progress regularly to parents. All pupils are given a Teacher Assessment National Curriculum level at the end of years 2, 6 and 9. This level is reported to parents.
