JCCT - Fair Nursery Care consultation

We would like to have your views on the fairest way to provide child care and education for our 3-4 year olds. This consultation is being run by the Jersey Child Care Trust (JCCT) and has been commissioned by the Minister for Education, Sport and Culture as preparation for a final report.

There are four main options that are being proposed by the Department for Education, Sport and Culture and we’re keen to hear your views on them. We would also like to hear if you have any other options that we haven’t thought of.

The leaflet is being circulated to all the child care and education establishments in the Island and includes a brief summary of the issues. The consultation document explains the proposed four options and the reports and recommendations that have informed them.

The JCCT welcome written submissions and would also like to invite you to a consultation evening on Thursday 3rd July, 6.30-9.30 at Hautlieu school. Please contact the Trust by calling 629901 or emailing info@jcct.org.je to reserve a place. The final date for submissions is 4th July 2008.
