Consultation Document - Towards Fairer Financial Support For Students

This document has been prepared as a basis for consultation on aspects of financial support to students following courses of higher education.

The need for consultation was identified during a previous wider consultation on student finance, during which, members of the public drew the Minister for Education Sport and Culture’s attention to perceived inequality of treatment in the way parental income from married, divorced and separated parents was assessed.

The report considers how this matter is dealt with in other jurisdictions and it sets out options for change in Jersey. The deadline for response is Friday 25th April 2008.
