Careers talks

Many businesses or trade groups on the Island to go into schools and speak about their industry, the business aspect and career progression available, particularly those on Island.

HR personnel will speak of what is expected of an employee in general terms and this can be extremely useful in reinforcing what teachers are saying.

In addition there are regular meetings of all the Island's careers advisers, including those from secondary schools, Highlands College, Employment and Social Security and the Jersey Careers Service which can provide an excellent opportunity for employers and businesses to provide up to date information and make contacts within the Education service.
