Les Quennevais Sports Centre and Playing Fields
Les Quennevais Sports Centre was built in 1996 and is a modern purpose-built sports complex. It is situated behind Communicare off La Route Des Quennevais and car drivers will find plenty of free parking. Access is also available for cyclists and pedestrians from the Railway Walk. The facilities at Les Quennevais Sports Centre include:
Swimming Pool
There is one 25 metre, eight lane deck level swimming pool during public time there are four swimming lanes for slow (2), medium and fast swimmers. The shallow end has a depth of 1.2 metres and the deep end is 2 metres deep. No diving is permitted in the swimming pool, unless swimmers are participating in a swimming gala and hold the Amateur Swimming Association's Competitive Start Award. There is also a learner pool with a depth in the shallow end of 0.9 metres and a deep end of 1.2 metres. In addition there are two spa baths, a bubble bed and a cascading fountain.
The swimming pool is open to the public from 9.00am to 8.00pm Monday to Friday. 9.00am to 5.00pm on Saturdays and 9.00am to 7.00pm on Sundays.
There are times when restrictions are in place, these are:
Adults only lane swimming from Monday to Friday 7.00am - 8.30am, vouchers for early morning swimming must be purchased in advance.
Adults only session Wednesdays and Thursdays 7.00pm to 8.00pm.
Family Fun session Fridays 6.00pm to 7.00pm and Sundays 4.30pm to 6.00pm.
During term time Education, Sport and Culture offer a learn to swim programme and swimming lanes in the learner pool and the main pool may be used for teaching purposes. Swimming pool availability is subject to change and it is advisable to contact the sports centre reception on tel 449880.
Active Gym
On the first floor you will find the Active Gym which has a cardiovascular suite with Life fitness treadmills, cross trainers, steppers, stationery bicycles and recumbant bikes. There are a number of concept II rowers. The suite is air conditioned and has a music and entertainment system, just remember to bring your earphones, towel and water bottle. Prior to use for the first time you must complete a health questionnaire.
There is a weights room with light free weights, fitballs and ab-rollers and the latest 'Signature Series' from Life fitness. To use the weights room you must have an induction with one of our leisure assistants. Inductions last for approximately one hour and ensure that you know how to use the equipment safely. Inductions can be booked at the sports centre reception.
Dance Studios

There are two dance studios. The upstairs smaller studio has a wooden sprung floor and is used for pilates, yoga and spinning. The downstairs studio has a granwood floor and is used for stretch and shape classes, body attack and much more.
Squash Courts
There are two glass backed squash courts. If you would like to find someone to play or have tuition check out the squash notice board next time you are visiting.
Sports Hall
Basketball, 5-a-side Football, Volleyball, Badminton, Short Tennis and Netball can be played in the Sports Hall. During school hours Les Quennevais School has use of the sports hall, but after school, during the weekends and school holidays it may be booked on a casual basis. There are a number of clubs and associations that use the hall on a weekly basis and include Les Quennevais Badminton Club and the Jersey Wheelchair Basketball Club.
Child Care
Every weekday morning the child care facility is open enabling parents to attend fitness classes, have a swim or go to the gym whilst knowing that their children are being cared for.
Health Suite

For well-being and relaxation you can find a sauna, steam room and an aromatherapy room. The Health Suite is only open to customers aged 16 years and over.
Sports View Bar and Restaurant
Refreshments are available from the Sports View Bar and Restaurant. It is open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday and all day at the weekends. The Sports View Bar and Restaurant also organise children's parties and these can be arranged by calling tel 490660.

Outside you will find Les Quennevais Playing Fields. There is a cycle track, softball diamond, astro turf with mini grandstand, cricket nets, cricket wickets and tennis courts. There are a number of areas with marked pitches in rugby and football.
Three sports clubs have their club houses at Les Quennevais: St Brelade's Bowling Club which is situated by the main entrance to the sports centre and the Jersey Petanque Club and Jersey Crocquet Club whose club houses are on the playing fields.
