Economic Development launches first Jersey Enterprise Master Class

Want to set up your own business? Or thinking about turning a business idea into a reality? Entrepreneurs in Jersey are being invited to attend the first Jersey Enterprise Master Class at the Radisson Hotel.

The first Master Class is aimed at entrepreneurs who own, or who are in the process of setting up their own business. It will provide essential information, some useful contacts and real life experiences from a successful local entrepreneur. The Master Class will also provide details of the range of support services and products available to businesses in the Island.

The Director of Business Creation & Growth at Jersey Enterprise, Sean Pritchard, explained: “This is the first in a series of Master Classes designed to help budding entrepreneurs. The Master Class is open to any entrepreneur and will be of benefit to anyone who is interested in setting up a new enterprise in Jersey. In addition to learning about how to comply with local regulations, financial management and marketing, attendees will learn about the wide range of business support available from Jersey Enterprise’

Senator Philip Ozouf, Minister for Economic Development, said: “Jersey Enterprise is the key element of Economic Development’s Enterprise and Business Development Strategy – it is how we now work with business to deliver success. If we are to achieve our objective of growing and diversifying Jersey’s economy, we must and will support entrepreneurs and increase business birth rates. Initiatives such as the Master Classes will become a regular feature in our calendar of events. This first Master Class is attracting a lot of interest and we are anticipating over 50 local entrepreneurs to attend’’
