Regulation of Undertakings and Development

The Population Office is responsible for administering the Regulation of Undertakings and Development (Jersey) Law, 1973, as amended.

This Law was established in 1973 to control the carrying on of undertakings and to regulate further development. An undertaking means any trade, business or profession whether or not carried on for profit. Development has the same meaning as in the Island Planning (Jersey) Law.
