Consumer Action in the Petty Debts Court
The Petty Debts Court can deal with consumer disputes, for example not refunding faulty goods, up to a value of £10,000. The Court sits at 10 am on Wednesdays in the Magistrate's Court in Union Street, St. Helier.
The Court is administered by the Petty Debts Court Greffier, Mr David Mallet, and his team. Before considering Court action, we would advise you download and read our advice leaflets, collect an information pack from the Court and seek advice from the Greffier.
More information on the Petty Debts Court is also available on the Jersey Citizens Advice Bureau website
