Training and Skills Development
Under the Economic Development Department, the Enterprise and Business Development (E&BD) team works with Jersey employers and employees to raise skills levels and improve business performance. The business unit is recognised for the positive impact it has on the economic and social development of the Island through the schemes and initiatives it manages and the development opportunities and financial assistance it provides to business. E&BD carries out research from which to develop and drive its initiatives. Research reports include the Survey of Entrepreneurship 2002, the Jersey Employers’ Surveys 2001 and 2004, the Skills Audit 2000, the Construction Audit and the Skills Knowledge Competencies Audit of the Jersey Finance Sector 2004. The E&BD is currently working on introducing new projects and initiatives for 2007. This website will be updated as and when these projects become available.
