The Prince’s Trust
The Prince’s Trust helps young people overcome barriers and get their lives working. Through practical support including training, mentoring and financial assistance, they help 14-30 year olds realise their potential and transform their lives. They focus their efforts on those who’ve struggled at school, been in care, been in trouble with the law, or are long-term unemployed.
With financial funding from the Economic Development Department The Prince’s Trust is able to extend the range of its activities to Jersey where the following initiatives are available:-
Business Programme - For young people who are aged between 18 and 30
Assistance includes:-
- Business Start up-services & support
- Assistance with putting together a business plan
- Provision of a Volunteer Business Mentor
- Self-help kits, seminars, free advice lines and marketing support
- Business Start up finance
Development Awards – For residents aged 14-25
Cash awards of between £50 - £500 for young people to access education, training or work.
Group Awards
Helps and advises groups of 14-25 year olds to plan and deliver youth led community projects. This includes possible financial assistance and on-going support and guidance.
