About the consultation
Draft planning guidance has been issued for consultation, which, if adopted, could contribute towards making the community safer.
Supplementary planning guidance (SPG) on crime impact statements is required under the new Island Plan, which was agreed by the States in June 2011. The guidance is intended to design out crime and design in community safety and will require crime impact statements to be submitted with planning applications where appropriate.
