About the consultation

​Transport and Technical Services (TTS) has reviewed a number of existing speed limits and proposes to make changes to speed limits in:

  • St Brelade
  • St Helier
  • St John
  • St Mary
  • St Peter
  • Trinity
  • Grouville

The proposed changes are as follows: 

St Brelade

A reduction to 30mph on:
  • A13, Route Orange from La Rue de la Sergente to Le Clos des Sables, including approximately 150m on La Rue de la Sergente prior to its junction with Route Orange
  • A13, Rue de Genet from La Petite Route des Mielles to Route de Noirmont

A reduction to 20 mph on:

  • Petite Route des Mielles for the entire length from A31 Rue de Genet to La Route du Francfief

St Helier

A reduction to 20mph on:  
  • Rue de Trachy from Mont Cochon to St Aubins Road

St John​

A reduction to 30mph on:
  • La Rue de Saint-Jean an extension of the existing village 30mph zone from approximately 33m west of La Route du Nord to approximately 95m west of La Rue du Cimitière

St Mary

A reduction to 30mph on:
  • Rue de la Rosière from La Route de Ste Marie to approximately 40m south of La Route de la Vallée
  • La Route de la Vallée from La Route de Ste Marie to La Rue de la Rosière

St Peter

Expand the entire 30mph zone by a reduction to 30 mph on:
  • A12 La Route de Beaumont from approximately 54m south east of La Rue de Saint Giement (existing 20 mph sign) to a point 150m further south east (past fuel station).
  • La Rue des Sapins from A12 La Grande Route de Saint Pierre to approximately 270m further north
  • La Rue du Bocage from La Rue de la Pointe to Rue de l’Eglise
  • La Rue de la Pointe from A12 La Grande Route de Saint Pierre to Rue de l’Eglise
  • La Rue des Niemes from La Rue de la Pointe to approximately 104m north of La Rue de la Preese
  • Petite Rue de la Pointe from La Rue de la Pointe to Rue de l’Eglise
  • Rue de l’Eglise from approximately 36m south west of La Route de l’Hermite to approximately 15m south of La Rue de la Pointe
  • La Rue des Fontaines from La Rue de la Pointe to approximately 25m west
  • La Grande Route des Augerez for approximately 45m in advance of A12 La Grande Route de Saint Pierre
  • La Rue du Vieux Presbytere for approximately 45m in advance of A12 La Grande Route de Saint Pierre
  • part increase from 20 to 30mph, part reduction to 30mph on A12 La Grande Route de Saint Pierre from approximately 26m north of La Rue des Sapins to approximately 90m north La Grande Route des Augerez

Beaumont

A reduction to 30mph on:
  • A12 La Route de Beaumont from approximately 20m south of Rue du Craslin (existing 30 mph sign) to approximately 35m north west of Clos de Bauche
  • Le Vieux Beaumont for approximately 45m in advance of Rue du Craslin
  • La Ruelle es Ruaux from A12 La Route de Beaumont to approximately 70m north east of Le Mont des Vignes

A reduction to 20mph on:

  •  Rue du Craslin from A12 La Route de Beaumont to Sandybrook Lane

Trinity

Create a new 30mph zone around the Church and Public House by a reduction to 30mph on: 
  • Rue des Picots from approximately 170m east of La Rue du Carrefour to La Route de la Trinite
  • La Verte Rue from Rue des Picots to La Rue D’Asplet
  • La Rue du Carrefour from Rue des Picots to La Verte Rue
  • La Route du Boulay from Rue des Picots to approximately 66m south of Le Chermin D’Olivet
  • Rue du Presbytere from Rue des Picots to Rue de la Petite Falaise
  • La Rue des Croix from Rue du Presbytere to La Rue au Sellier
  • La Route de la Trinite for approximately 45m in advance of Rue des Picots
  • La Rue d’Asplet from Rue des Picots to approximately 32m from La Route de la Trinite

Grouville

A reduction to 20mph on:  
  • La Rue a Don from the junction of La Rue de la Ville es Renauds to approximately 64m south west
  • La Rue de la Ville es Renauds from Clos Royale to approximately 46m south of Links Court 

An extension to the temporary 20mph school safety zone on:

  • La Rue a Don from approximately 60m south west of La Rue des Pres  to approximately 45m north east of La Rue des Pres 
  • La Rue des Pres  from La Rue a Don to the existing school zone signage at Le Clos de la Baule, approximately
  • La Rue de la Ville es Renauds from Clos Royale to the existing school zone signage outside 2 Roadside Cottages, approximately
