When the Les Pas claim was settled in 2005 and the land that Castle Quay now occupies was 'gifted' to Les Pas Holdings, did the contract contain the words 'in full and final settlement’?

Article 31 Advice by the Bailiff, Deputy Bailiff or a Law Officer

Information is qualified exempt information if it is relates to the provision of advice by the Bailiff, Deputy Bailiff or the Attorney General or the Solicitor General.

Article 32 Legal professional privilege

Information is qualified exempt information if it is information in respect of which a claim to legal privilege could be maintained in legal proceedings.

Justification for exemptions

Article 31 and 32 are both qualified exemptions and therefore subject of a public interest test.
The information requested is available through the Public Registry any information which is held by the Public Authority is that of legal advice, maintaining lawyer and client confidentiality is of paramount importance. In this instance it is considered that the justification for disclosure is not in the public interest.
