The States of Jersey police can confirm, there is a live on-going criminal investigation in respect of the Innovation Fund, following a referral from the Attorney General’s office in January this year, as already widely reported.
That investigation involves working with the Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture Department.
Costs are met from normal policing duties budgets and enquiries are completed at no extra cost.
On 14 June 2016, the Minister for Home Affairs gave a provisional estimate for the cost of the PSNI enquiry to be £31,432. The final cost is yet to be delivered to the States.
