How many civil servants in Jersey, have been allowed to take voluntary redundancy with less than three years of them being of retirement age.

Response

From January 2010 to June 2017, 15 employees have left the States of Jersey under voluntary redundancy (VR) and were within three years of reaching normal retirement age.

Employees released under the VR scheme must meet a payback period of within two years, and their VR payment must not exceed their salary from their date of departure to their normal retirement age.
