I would like to make a Freedom of Information request with regards to your ambulance service. Please can you provide us with the following information:

A

The name of your Ambulance service.

B

How many volunteer Community First Responders are working / worked for the trust in the following years:

a) 2013 / 14

b) 2014 / 15

c) 2015 / 16

d) 2016 / 17

C

How many times have the volunteer Community First Responders working for the trust been dispatched to a category A Red:1 emergency call out first (ie before a paramedic / ambulance)?

a) 2013 / 14

How many times have the volunteer Community First Responders working for the trust been dispatched to a category A Red:2 emergency call out first (ie before a paramedic / ambulance)?

The financial year of the Ambulance Service begins on first of January each year therefore a year is given a full year.

a) 2013 - Community First Responders (CFR) scheme not in operation

b) 2014 - 8 volunteers

c) 2015 - 8 volunteers

d) 2016 - 8 volunteers

e) 2017 - 8 volunteers

The Ambulance Service have taken this to mean all red calls as we do not differentiate between red 1 and red 2.

The Ambulance Service do not use the code red 2. All calls in Jersey are coded Red, Amber or Green and do not align with the current UK targets.

The Ambulance Service is unable to provide this information as the number of staff is less than 10 per year, and as such, Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied to this request to avoid identification of individuals.

The total number of staff who took leave due to stress related illnesses over the three year period is 12.

The Ambulance Service is unable to provide this information frontline staff as the number of days is less than 10 per year, and as such, Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied to this request to avoid identification of individuals. The total number of days for frontline staff over the three years is 96.

There are no recorded absences due to stress related illnesses in 2015 for non-A&E staff.

The total number of days for non-A&E staff in 2016 and 2017 is 361 (200 days in 2016 and 161 in 2017).

The Ambulance Service is unable to provide this information as the number of staff is less than 10, and as such, Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied to this request to avoid identification of individuals.
