The States of Jersey are also the beneficial owners of “States of Jersey Investments Limited”. The company was set up in 2002 to act as a nominee to hold, on behalf of the States of Jersey, shares in companies that will have vested in them certain assets, rights, liabilities and business. This was originally established with the incorporation of Jersey Telecoms and now includes Jersey Post and Ports of Jersey. It was established for internal purposes and is not a trading company. The Chairman is the Treasurer of the States and the other Directors are both States Treasury officials – The Director of Financial Planning and Performance and the Director of Accounting Services.
