Response

A.

Remuneration for both Advisers is payable at a daily rate of £1,000 for eight days service per annum.

B.

Both Adviser contracts commenced on 1 November 2013, to provide independent advice to the Political Oversight Group for the Public Sector Reform Programme. They provide eight days support per annum with the States of Jersey paying relevant expenses. Any requirement in addition to this is subject to mutual agreement.

C.

The Advisers are entitled to be reimbursed for reasonably incurred expenses that have to be submitted with supporting evidence and approved. In 2014, Sir David Henshaw received £1,006.83 and Elisabeth Astall received £614.55.

D.

The Chief Minister’s Department is responsible for paying for these two Advisers.
