Further to the Freedom of Information response issued on 20 April 2017, would the States of Jersey Police be able to confirm the supplier of non-restricted police issue items? Items such as trousers, shirts, gloves, and so on.
The States of Jersey Police are part of a ‘South west police area’ contract which provides uniform items at a more competitive rate due to economies of scale.
Shirts are provided by WM Sugdens (wmsugden.co.uk).
Trousers, jackets and gloves are provided by Turner VIRR (turnervirr.co.uk).
Individuals are reminded that it is an offence under Article 29 of the States of Jersey Police Force Law 2012, to impersonate a police officer with intent to deceive.
