Would you kindly provide me with details of the number of people still currently in receipt of Invalidity Benefit, which I believe was replaced in 2004 by the Long-Term Incapacity Allowance?
I know that the total was 529 at the end of 2016 and is constantly dropping, but I should like to have the up-to-date figure.
Of the recipients whose claims ceased between January and June 2018, I should like to know the reason for the cessation, broken down as follows:
death of the recipient
the recipient attaining the age of 65 and thus transferring to old age pension
the recipient being transferred to LTIA
any other reason
The number of people in receipt of Invalidity Benefit was 502 at the end of 2017.
The number of people in receipt of Invalidity Benefit at the end of June 2018 was 455.
Between January and June 2018 of the 47 former Invalidity Benefit (IB) recipients, the reason for them no longer receiving IB is as follows.
eight deceased
22 In receipt of old age pension
none were transferred to LTIA
17 Other reasons
