The data provided in this response relates to States of Jersey maintained and fee-paying maintained schools. Unless otherwise stated, it does not include data from the private primary and secondary schools in Jersey.

The Department for Children, Young People, Education and Skills is unable to provide the percentage of Looked After Children that achieved five A*-C (9-4) GCSE including English & Mathematics as due to the small number identified this data is considered disclosive. Article 25 (Personal Information) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied to this part of the request.

Pupils are assessed under the Jersey Primary Assessment Framework which was designed with teachers to ensure rigorous assessment of pupils under the new Jersey Curriculum 2014. The framework assesses Key Stage 2 pupils in Year 6 at 6E (6 Emerging), 6D (6 Developing) and 6S (6 Secure). This framework does not equate with the old assessment methodology of levels which was used for the previous curriculum and referred to in the request.

Attendance rates are lower for pupils in Year 11 due to study leave taken before the May half term. In line with England, figures for these pupils exclude the final half term of the year. See the attendance report linked above for more details on how attendance is calculated.
