Please may I have a breakdown of statistics for numbers of students on different degree courses receiving funding from the States, and differentiating between local Highlands courses, and UK based ones.

What I am looking for is, for example: Subject of Course / Numbers going to UK / Numbers doing degree here.

Response

The table below presents the numbers of students in receipt of funding from Jersey Student Finance in 2014-2015 studying degree courses in Jersey, the UK, and off-island institutions outside the UK, broken down by subject.

As students are currently studying over 500 differently named courses, data are presented by subject group rather than by individual subject. Students who have not received funding from Jersey Student Finance are not included in the data.

Please note that Highlands College is not the only provider of degree courses in Jersey; therefore some Jersey-based students included in the data are studying at other institutions in Jersey.
