My enquiry concerns the most northern hangar at the States of Jersey Airport (ex Jersey Airlines). Please can you confirm if the infrastructure of the hangar either contains or has contained any asbestos?
Yes, the infrastructure of the most northern Hangar has and does contain asbestos, which is managed in accordance with Jersey ACOP 8 “Management of Exposure to Asbestos in Workplace Buildings and Structures” and the “Health and Safety at Work (Jersey) Law, 1989”.
A detailed Site Asbestos Register and Management Plan for the building is maintained.
