The new Sexual Offences (Jersey) Law 2018 has now been in force for a year. As part of a study I am conducting for a Law Degree, please would you advise:
A
The number of complaints made to the Police under Article 18 of the Sexual Offences (Jersey) Law 2018 (Abuse of trust by a sexual act against a person aged 16 or 17) specifically where the alleged perpetrator has been a sports coach (or similar) in either a voluntary or paid position.
B
Of the number of complaints made in (A) above, please advise the outcome of each complaint.
C
The number of complaints referred to the Jersey Designated Officer regarding allegations of sexual abuse of a young person aged 16 or 17 by a sports coach (or similar) in either a voluntary or paid position from 23rd November 2018 to 23rd November 2019.
D
Of the number of complaints referred in (C) above, please advise the outcome of each complaint.
E
The number of complaints made to the Police regarding alleged sexual abuse by sports coaches (paid or voluntary) against children (under 18) in each of the following calendar years: 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 and the outcome of each investigation. Please further separate the results into those against children aged 15 and under and those against children aged 16 and 17.
F
The number of allegations made to the Jersey Designated Officer regarding alleged sexual abuse by sports coaches (paid or voluntary) against children (under 18) for each of the following calendar years: 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 and 2018 and the outcome of each investigation. Please further separate the results into those against children aged 15 and under and those against children aged 16 and 17.

No complaints have been received under Article 18 of the 2018 law to date.
C, D and F
There have not been any referrals made to the Jersey Designated Officer regarding sexual abuse by sports coaches for any year since records began in 2015.
E
Previous legislation, namely Articles 3,4 and 5 of the Sexual offences (Jersey) Law 2007 cover sexual offences against children whilst in a position of trust. In the time frame requested, no offences were recorded where the offender was a sports coach.
