B.

How many miles of those roads have been resurfaced in each of the last five years and how many are scheduled for the next two years?

Response

A.

TTS is responsible, (ie the highway authority), for 167 miles of main roads. All the Parishes combined are responsible for 297 miles of roads.

B.

Assuming a 6m wide road the following figures are calculated from the surface area of asphalt laid.

In 2010, TTS resurfaced 2.60 miles.

In 2011, TTS resurfaced 1.13 miles.

In 2012, TTS resurfaced 3.08 miles.

In 2013, TTS resurfaced 2.15 miles.

In 2014, TTS resurfaced 2.76 miles.

By the end of 2015, TTS will have completed 4.82 miles of resurfacing. This includes 1.04 miles of micro asphalt.

In 2016, TTS propose to resurface 4.31 miles of road. This includes 1.66 miles of micro asphalt.

In 2017, TTS propose to resurface 3.62 miles of roads. This includes 1.03 miles of micro asphalt.
