How many States of Jersey employees, aged within three years of retirement age, have been granted voluntary redundancy through the Medium Term Financial Plan savings scheme or since 1 January 2015? Of these, how many were uniformed services?
No employees within three years of retirement age have been granted Voluntary Redundancy as the Voluntary Release Schemes Policy precludes anyone within five years of normal retirement age (NRA) applying for Voluntary Redundancy. The only scheme available to those individuals within five years of NRA would be the Voluntary Severance Scheme.
There were seven individuals awarded Voluntary Release (Voluntary Severance) within three years of NRA, none from uniform services.
