WHAT WE DO:

Audiology is concerned with the science of hearing, particularly diagnostic testing and the rehabilitation of hearing-impaired individuals. The Audiology Department provides a comprehensive service to patients who have problems with their hearing and/or balance.

WHAT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED:

Hearing Aid Service:

If you would like to be assessed for a hearing aid and do not already have one visit your doctor (GP) who can refer you. Digital behind-the-ear hearing aids are free of charge. We also offer an income generating service for the provision of digital all-in-the-ear hearing aids.

If you already have a hospital hearing aid and are experiencing problems contact the Audiology Department directly for an appointment.

Open access hearing aid repair clinics:

Audiology Department, General Hospital: Mondays 09:00 - 12.00 Noon

Hearing Resource Centre, Overdale Hospital: Wednesdays 9.00- 12.00 Noon

Hearing tests:

If you do not have a hearing aid and would like an informal hearing test and advice an Audiologist is available at The Hearing Resource Centre, Overdale on Wednesdays 9.00 - 12.00 Noon
