What is the Neurocare Service?
It is a partnership between Health and Social Services and the neurological charities. The service aims to work with and support adults with specific neuro-degenerative conditions like Parkinson’s and Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Huntington’s Disease, Dystonia and Ataxia, from pre-diagnosis and throughout the disease process. People are seen and assessed wherever they are, at home, hospital or in a residential/nursing home.
Objective:
To work closely with all agencies involved, professional and voluntary, to provide a coordinated, supportive, holistic, flexible and high quality service to people with these conditions.
Clinics
Dr. Gibson – a regular weekly clinic held on a Friday morning.
Dr. Richardson – has a clinic approximately every 6-8 weeks on a Thursday morning.
Nurse-led clinics are also held Monday afternoons, Wednesday and Thursday mornings
