Welcome to the Department of Dermatology.

The team consists of Dr MF Muhlemann (Consultant), Ms Anna Bianconi-Moore, (previously Dorey, Sister), Mrs Diane Rolland (Staff Nurse), Mrs Lynne Grieve (Staff Nurse), Mrs Marilyn Le Cuirot (Nursing Assistant).

We are an outpatient service open between the hours of 09.00-17.00 Monday - Thursday and 09.00-12.00 on a Friday. We are closed weekends and Bank Holidays.

The dermatology department offers a wide range of services. Clinics are held for general skin problems, fast track skin cancer clinics, skin allergy testing where appropriate, and skin surgery. Other nurse led clinics include assessment of skin cancers and sun damage problems and eczema and psoriasis clinics. A limited laser service is available for some patients with birthmarks, hair removal and acne scarring. The department uses lasers for surgery and offers a limited photodynamic service for skin cancers. The department also run a very busy wound care service for our client group.

There is a extremely busy light therapy service run by the department, 08:30-20:00 Monday and Thursday, 08:30-17:00 Tuesday and Wednesday, and 08:30-12:00 Friday.

Referral to the service is via Medical Practitioners only. Requests for repeat prescriptions when applicable should be made via our Secretary Mrs Susan Stuchfield on 00 44 (0) 1534 622308.
