WHAT WE DO:

Provision of a wide range of investigations and treatments for patients with respiratory illnesses.

· 3 dedicated consultant clinics each week.

· open access asthma clinic each Saturday morning.

· pulmonary rehabilitation programme for patients with COPD.

· physiological tests including full lung function, assessment of sleep apnoea, and home oxygen. See the Clinical Investigation Department

· provision of long term home oxygen therapy, home nebulizer service and physical therapy for sleep apnoea.

· once weekly endoscopy session.

· comprehensive assessment of patients with lung cancer in conjunction with departments of radiology and pathology.

· regular MDT meetings to discuss optimum therapy for patients with lung cancer in conjunction with radiology,   pathology and oncology services.

· diagnosis, treatment and contact tracing for patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in liaison with Consultant Microbiologist.

· liaison with community based smoking cessation services.
