Bartlett Ward

Bartlett ward is a 19 bedded acute medical ward headed by Sister Janet Caurel.
We are located on the second floor of the hospital and access can be gained via the Gloucester Street entrance.

Male and female patients are admitted to the ward from the Medical Admissions Unit (MAU), Accident and Emergency, GP’s and from Outpatient Clinics. We look after patients with a wide variety of illnesses such as chest infections, diabetics, heart conditions, cancer and strokes. We also look after patients with certain infections in our single rooms.

Some patients are admitted who need clinical procedures such as biopsies or endoscopies or for investigations such as scans and blood tests or for blood transfusions.

We are committed to meeting the needs of patients on Bartlett Ward and our aim is to provide high quality care for all our patients and involve families and carers in all aspects of care.

The visting hours for Bartlett Ward are: 3:30pm - 7:30pm
