1. What do we do?

We provide a comprehensive HR service to the largest States Department, in order to ensure Health & Social Services adopts good HR practice in the management of their employees, enabling service managers to provide the very best of health and social care in the Island.

2. What services / information available in this section?

We provide specialist support and advice to managers, staff and potential employees on terms and conditions of employment and careers advice, undertake workforce planning, recruitment and retention initiatives, succession planning, organisational development, job evaluation, HR policy development and assist with performance management.

We provide support to all areas of the organisation and all employee groups, including Doctors, Nurses, Professions Allied to Medicine, Ambulance personnel, Social Services, Community Services, Management, ancillary and support staff.

We also have a central role in consultations and negotiations with local and national trade unions and strive to maintain a healthy employee relations climate.

We encourage and support continuous professional development and life-long learning initiatives for all employees.
