Do I pay GST when moving to Jersey?

Provided that your normal place of residence has been, for a continuous period of at least 12 months, outside Jersey any personal property, other than alcohol and tobacco products, which have been in the possession of you or your family for six months or more will not be liable to GST on condition that you do not dispose of them in Jersey for a year after their arrival.
