Do I need a passport/visa to come to Jersey if I am legally resident in the United Kingdom?

There is no formal requirement to show a passport/visa to an immigration officer when travelling between the United Kingdom and Jersey if you are legally resident there. However, with increased security in the travel industry it is strongly recommended that you carry a passport or some other type of photographic identification.
