Wholetime Firefighter Vacancies:

We are not currently recruiting for whole time firefighters within the States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service.

Part-Time (retained) Firefighter Vacancies: 

We currently have a need for part-time (retained) firefighters at our Western Fire Station and also our St Helier Station.

How do I apply?

The vacancies will be advertised during the first two weeks of January 2008 on our website http://www.fire.gov.je/ and also on the States of Jersey employment website http://www.workingforjersey.gov.je/ (opens in new window) and in the The Jersey Evening Post (JEP). Details of how to apply will be posted at that time.

Application packs will not be available until the vacancies are advertised and will be sent to you upon request at the time of vacancy.

Application packs will become available till 22nd January 2008 with a closing date of 02nd February 2008.

Test dates:

Written Tests:    1800hrs - 2100hrs on either 11th/12th/13th or 14th February 2008

Physical Tests:    Daytime on either 25th or 26th February 2008

Interviews:    Daytime on either 3rd/4th/5th or 6th March 2008

Initial training Course:    Thursday evenings and Saturdays during March and April 2008 (for 5 or 6 weeks)
