The Customs and Immigration Service is responsible to the Jersey and the UK governments for controlling immigration at Jersey harbours and airport. It also monitors the importation of goods, involving the collection of customs and excise revenues and ensures attempts to smuggle prohibited or restricted goods, such as illegal drugs, are prevented.
