New Community Room Opening
New community room opening for States tenants
A new community room for States tenants opened on Saturday 12th April at number 75 Convent Court in St Helier.
Tenants will be able to use this facility as a meeting place and for holding group/panel meetings. They will also have access to computers and printers and the room will also act as a contact point for the Housing Department.
The opening of the room follows a request for such a resource at one of the recent meeting held by Housing with States tenants living in high-rise accommodation.
The Assistant Housing Minister, Deputy Jackie Hilton, who will opening the centre on Saturday commented that; “I am very pleased that we have been able to fund this valuable resource. It has the potential to bring together tenants from across the parish of St Helier so helping to promote community spirit.”
The centre will initially open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. These times will be reviewed once the centre is up and running.
