States Rental Accommodation
The Housing Department administers 4,558 flats and houses which are rented to residentially qualified people who would otherwise find it difficult finding suitable, affordable accommodation in the private sector, in which to house them and their families. The housing stock as was January 2007 is shown below:

4,558 | The picture below shows the distrubion of States rental property stock across the island. The majority of our stock surrounds town, with 60% located in St Helier, 18% in St Saviour, and 14% in St Clement. Only 3% of our stock is in St Brelade, 2% in Grouville and St St Peter, and other parishes contain less than 1%.
