Economic Development
Jersey has a successful and developed economy that provides a high standard of living and and virtually full employment for Island residents. The States aims to maintain and where possible improve the Island's economic performance by working with the key industries on future development plans, fostering the creation of new business in Jersey and finding ways pf diversifying the economy further, by, for example, promoting rural enterprise and tourism industries, both of which play such a large part in preserving the Island's heritage and character.
