Regulation of Undertakings and Development
(Opens in a new window) The Population Office is responsible for administering the Regulation of Undertakings and Development Law, and is accountable to the Economic Development Minister.
The Law is designed to control the carrying on of trade, business or profession, and balances the need for economic growth with demand on the Island's resources.
