Law Officers

The Law Officers Department provides legal advice to the Crown and the States, including States Ministries and other Departments. It is also responsible for the provision of a high quality criminal prosecution service. Other services include:

• Protecting the interests of the Crown and States in civil proceedings;
• Performing the functions and duties of the Attorney General;
• Assisting overseas law enforcement agencies;
• Carrying out conveyancing work for the Crown and States of Jersey.
