Getting to and from Jersey 

Did you know... In the early 19th century, the Island's shipyards launched over 900 vessels with the largest being over 1000 tons in weight.

Jersey is easily accessible with fast ferry and air services widely available for travel between the Channel Islands, the UK and Europe.

By air

There is a great choice and number of regular scheduled flights to and from the Island. This includes a minimum of 12 flights daily from London, with flight durations of less than 1 hour. Various carriers operate from 30 regional airports in the UK and Ireland and from a number of major European cities. Inter-island airline companies offer regular scheduled flights between the Channel Islands and the UK.

Private jet

Jersey Airport has all the facilities and amenities for handling private aircraft - from a PA28 to a Boeing business jet - at the Jersey Aero club or Aviation Beauport.

By sea

Fast and conventional ferry services operate from the south coast of England: Poole, Weymouth and Portsmouth. The fast ferry takes approximately 3 and a half hours from the mainland. Services also operate from St Malo and Grainville in France and other Channel Islands.

The waters around the Island provide one of the finest cruising grounds in the world. The Island has modern, top-quality marinas and picturesque harbours. St Helier has 3 modern well-equipped marinas catering for a wide range of craft. The Yacht Harbour Association has awarded all of St Helier's marinas with the 'Five Gold Anchor'.

St Helier Marina is Jersey’s main visiting marina, situated in the Upper Harbour, with berthing for up to 200 visiting yachts, accessible 3 hours each side of high water.

La Collette Yacht Basin is Jersey’s deep-water marina, with access at all states of the tide.

Elizabeth Marina is the Island's newest marina with 564 berths ranging from 6m to 20m, available to contract craft. Leases are available for 1, 5 and 10 years, plus 1-month winter contracts. Access is 3 hours either side of high water.
