Tender accepted on Sewage Treatment Works

22 May 2015

A tender to undertake the first phase of works on the new Sewage Treatment Works (STW) to be constructed at Bellozanne has been accepted by the Minister for Transport and Technical Services, Deputy Eddie Noel.

Doosan Enpure will work with TTS to develop an outline design for a new works. They will contribute to practical aspects of the project as well as being encouraged to offer innovative technologies and techniques from their experience.

This phase of the project is likely to last until April 2016 and is estimated to cost just under £1 million. TTS anticipates that the programme will enable the new works to be commissioned and operational in 2020.

The Minister for Transport and Technical Services said "This is a really important project for Jersey and it will be interesting to see the design taking shape over the coming year. This gets us one step closer to providing this vital replacement to our current plant."
