Jersey Overseas Aid

The Jersey Overseas Aid Commission funds projects in developing countries through established aid agencies.

The Commission will only fund grants to its approved aid agencies for projects which in general should be capable of completion within 12 months from commencement and should not exceed £65,000. In the event of a Disaster or Emergency situation funding is also available up to a maximum limit of £25,000 per agency.

Local Jersey Charities may also apply for grants up to £3,500 on a £ to £ basis or for a material grant if that charity is undertaking a project with a group of volunteers overseas. The Commission also undertakes its own Community Work Projects which sends out teams of local residence to provide assistance to developing communities. These are usually launched during the early part of the year.
