Housing plays a fundamental role of the planning system and the Island Plan needs to provide an adequate supply of land to meet the housing requirements of the community over the plan period.

community facilities and open space whilst continuing to meet the needs of the community.

This section of the plan covers a wide range of issues relating to travel both within the Island, through our:

• footpaths
• cycle networks
• and also through air and sea travel
