Awareness
Interpretation and raising awareness are an integral part of the Environment Division's remit. Stimulating public interest in all facets of the environment takes the form of information leaflets, guided walks, educational presentations, both at Island schools and in the field, themed environmental weekends, environmental festivals and exhibition display stands at a variety of public events. These regular activities are designed to involve all sections of the community, stimulate interest and emphasise the true value of Jersey’s environment.
The Environment Division also has two Visitor Centres, Discovery Pier in Gorey, which focuses on the marine environment and Kempt Tower in St Ouen's Bay, which tells the story of Les Mielles.
