Planning and Building Division
The Planning and Building Division is part of the Planning and Environment Department. It has two main roles:
to ensure land is developed in a way that enriches the quality of the natural and built environment and enables Jersey to function effectively both economically and socially
to make sure buildings are designed and constructed to safe and environmentally sound standards.
The Planning and Building Division administers the principle laws and orders concerning the development and use of land in the Island and the construction of buildings as set out in the Planning and Building (Jersey) Law 2002.
