The Learning Centre

The Learning Centre has been developed to assist and support individuals in improving their skills. A range of software is available to improve IT skills.

Careers
An interview with a careers adviser to help identify training needs and provide information on entry routes into careers. (Access to careers library)

Mavis Beacon - Keyboard Skills
A typing program designed for people who wish to learn, improve or maintain their typing skills.

ECDL - Computer Skills
European Computer Driving Licence. The ECDL consists of seven modules covering the core areas of IT and aims to raise the general level of competancy in computers. Further information is available separately.

4. Spreadsheet (MS Excel)
5. Databases (MS Access)
6. Presentaion & Drawing (PowerPoint & Paint)
7. Information Network Services (Internet)
Each module can be accredited at a registered test centre.

Lending Library - Includes training videos
We have a selection of lending material on wide variety of employment subjects - IT, occupations, and training
e.g. Interview skills. (All are available for home loan.)

Internet
Access is made available for job searching, career information and link to on-line training.

Curriculum Vitae
We have templates and proformas available and we can assist you to produce your own CV.

Cover Letter
Information and assistance can be given to produce a cover letter to accompany your CV.

Floppy Disks
If you have your CV on a floppy disk and need to update or print the information, we have the facility to scan and load your disk. (For scanning reasons information cannot be password protected and must be found to be virus free)
